Trip Summary:
We drove out Saturday, July 2nd, to Las Vegas, New Mexico and spent the next day in the Las Vegas NM area before heading into the Pecos Wilderness. We had five days in the Wilderness, but did not have enough time to try & summit one of the Truchas Peaks from the Skyline trail, which was one of my goals. That will be a goal for a future return trip, in addition to completing more of the Skyline trail.
